This coming spring, the three at-large seats on the Champaign City Council are up for election. I’ve spent the last eight years as a Champaign Unit 4 School Board member, working to make our school system better. Now I’m running for city council to continue the work of making our community a better place to live, for everyone.

I support a walkable, bikeable, accessible city. I support a variety of housing choices, and making housing more affordable. And I want our city to become a more connected community, where people can easily live, work, and visit with or without a car.

If you're ready to support me, that's great! If you'd like to hear more, email me at Kathy@ElectKathyShannon.org and we can get together for coffee. Either way, I hope that my candidacy gets the whole community talking about ways we can make a more resilient, livable, happy community.
